What the heck is wrong with my eyes?!?!?

I'm looking at the keyboard and the computer screen, but my eyes keep getting blurry every few minutes. Yes I have very bad vision. But Im nearsighted so it has nothing to do with that. I just got in from swimming, and the chemicals were strong. My eyes started stinging, which was the reason I started fighting my little brother for the goggles. I got em, but he was getting impatient to get em back, so I took em off and got out cause my eyes were hurting. Could this be the effect of the chemicals, making my eyes blurry, cause I havent splashed my face with water like I usually do after getting out. This has never happened to me before. Its like when you go to the eye doctor and get your eyes dilated, only less intense, I can go in the sun, less frequent, and not as uncomfortable. Is this the pool's chemical water, or did something happen?

Do Toddlers Really Need a Sun Protection Suit?

When purchasing swimwear for your toddler(s), it can feel a little odd to place them in an all covering sun protection suit when there are plenty of cute bikinis and swim shorts to select from. You may also wonder if it is really all that important to have one for your child, particularly if you apply sunscreen regularly.

Children who love the water can spend hours playing in a pool or at the beach. Sun block can wear off or be washed off by the water, and it can be difficult to get your toddler to sit still long enough to reapply, especially without rubbing little grains of sand into their soft skin by accident.

The key is to find swimwear that is comfortable and covers the danger spots, which often get too much UV exposure. This is the main trunk of the body, the arms and the thighs. A full sun protective suit doesn't have narrow straps for the child to get annoyed at, and offers ease of movement to help them feel comfortable at all times.

A sun protection suit is the equivalent of slathering on a 50+ SPF sunscreen, without worrying about whether it's washing off or not as they splash about. This form of swimwear is durable and with a wide brim sunhat, your toddler(s) will be well covered and ready to play in the water.

While these can cost more than a little bikini or swim shorts, once you factor in the cost of extra material, and the fact it's made form materiel proven to protect, and designed to be durable and well wearing, the cost factor is minimal, compared to the benefits.

Of course you'll still need to apply sun screen to the lower arms and legs, and it's a good idea to apply it generously using a SPF +15 or more, selecting a lotion or spray that is suitable for young skin. This will need to be reapplied every two hours at least, even more so if your child is spending all their time in the water.

With the combination of sunscreen and a sun protection suit, your child can be well protected and you can relax knowing all you need to watch out for now is that water play. Of course, if you are at the beach, providing a good selection of sand toys will keep them safely out of water's way for a good period of time. And they'll still be protected from the harmful rays.
