How to prevent tanning?

I'm not into that stupid STUPID vampire fad, promise, I just enjoy being white and I like the nice clean look it gives me.

The sunblock I use is
Neutrogena Age Shield face sunblock lotion SPF 110 with heliopex broad spectrum uba-uvb.

(long name, I know!)

I like my sunblock, but I'm worried that it doesn't prevent tanning.
Does anyone know of a sunblock with a high SPF that prevents tanning? I don't mind if it doesn't rub in clear. In other words, if it forms a white layer on the skin, I'm fine with that.

How to Prevent Male Age Spots

Let me tell you a quick story.  We deal with male age spots in the same way that we deal with a woman’s.  It’s a step-by-step process that starts with protecting the area from the sun.  Although, people sometimes think of them as being caused by the aging process, they are actually caused by sun exposure.

There are some differences between men’s and women’s skin, due in part to different hormones.  But, men’s skin is also more susceptible to redness and inflammation.  They tend to use harsher cleansers and alcohol-based aftershave solutions that actually do more harm than good.

Although the sun is the primary cause of uneven pigmentation and “spotting”, petroleum-based alcohols (methyl, ethyl, isopropyl, etc) can cause them, too.  It helps to know the causes, because once you are able to get rid of them, you need to learn how to prevent them from coming back.  The use of a daily cream, preferably after shaving, that includes natural vitamin E will help.

Male age spots can appear anywhere on the body, but in bald men, they often appear on top of the head.  You may find them on your hands, shoulders, forehead or another part of your face.

If you are bald, you should always wear a hat when you are out in the sun, preferably one with a brim large enough to shield your forehead and the back of your neck.  If you spend more than 10 or 15 minutes in the sun, you should use a broad-spectrum sun-block, such as zinc oxide.  Look for one with an SPF rating of 20+.

Do not rely on minor sun-screening agents and remember to reapply as directed.  Protection is limited.  Not only do these steps help with male age spots, they could also reduce your risk of skin cancer.

There are some safe whitening creams that include an ingredient called Extra-pone nut-grass.  But, if your goal is to even out pigmentation, rather than whiten a large area, such as the whole face, you don’t need the nut-grass.  Avoid the age-spot creams containing hydroquinone.  They’ve been banned in some countries, because they seem to increase the skin cancer risk.

If it contains the right ingredients, a daily all-over face cream or body lotion is all that you need.  The right ingredients include coenzyme Q10.  Creams containing it have been shown to reduce wrinkles and repair sun damage after only six weeks of use.  Since male age spots are symptoms of sun damage, it would logically fade them, too.

Another ingredient to look for is a protein complex called Functional Keratin.  It contains the same basic protein that makes up the skin’s outer layers.  It has been shown to stimulate the production of new cells, as well as the amount of antioxidants within the cells.  That will fade a brown spot caused by the sun or exposure to toxins like petroleum-based alcohols.

In conclusion, to reduce inflammation, buy a cream that contains witch hazel.  It won’t help fade male age spots, but it will reduce redness and prevent infection in shaving nicks.  Think “natural ingredients”.  They’ll do the trick.
