How long does an air brushed tan at the salon last before fading?

I am considering getting an airbrush tan done at the salon (UK) as I don't fancy getting baked on a sun bed but wondered how long it would last as I'm not made of money!

Also for those of you who have had it done would you recommend any specific type of tan (I'm looking for something lighter and natural) i.e. fakebake, st. tropez etc!

Any proper answers welcome but please no time wasters!

In our salon we use fake bake just tell the beautician what way you want you tan and she can adjust the settings on the machine.

It usually lasts a week before it starts to fade.
make sure you exfoliate and moisturise when you have a spray tan moisturiser every night and exfoliate once a week.

Also before you go to the salon to have your spray tan done exfoliate 24 hours before and make sure your skin is clean before you go apply moisturiser to your knees elbows the palms of your hands and the bottom of your feet but not anywhere else as these parts are dryer than the rest of your body and may go darker
