Is aloe vera good after tanning?

I tan in sunbeds indoors, is aloe vera good for my skin after tanning? Will it take away my tan?

Aloe vera is GREAT for your skin after tanning.
A study performed in the 1990s showed that the healing time of a moderate to severe burn was reduced when the wound was treated on a regular basis with Aloe vera gel, compared to the healing of the wound covered in a gauze bandage.
Every time you tan, your skin cells get severely damaged and DRIED OUT.
I personally use cocoa butter which can be purchased at any Target or Wal mart for a couple dollars. It's perfect for after tanning lotion, and I've read that it helps maintain a nice tan longer.

I would recommend watching this, too.

what happens if you put on aloe vera after sunscreen?

what happens if you put on sunscreen then like 30 min later put on aloe vera?

I'm not sure why anyone would do that. I'd assume it would just thin out your sunscreen and make it less effective.

If you get a sunburn, shower first to wash off the sunscreen and then apply the aloe vera gel. It works a lot better than lotion does to heal the sunburn. Lotion can trap the heat and actually make it worse.
