Takin 7 month old to beach Friday?

We're taking our 7 mo old to FL for the next week. But I'm nervous about him getting a sunburn. He's also teething and its going to take us at least 10 hours to get there. We've bought Aveeno baby sunblock. I was looking for a sun tent thing, but cant find one. I dont know where to get beach unbrellas either. I'm nervous. Does anyone have any tips? I dont want to even think of my son teething AND a sunburn.

I live in FL and I can't wait to bring my 8 month old to the beach this summer The water is still pretty cool right now - not that I'd bring her out in it, but I want to put her feet in the surf a little.

ANYWAYS - Depending on what part of FL you are going to, there are usually a TON of beach/tourist shops right along the beach, or at least very close to the beach where you can find umbrellas, tents, towels, etc. Also, any Wal-Mart or Target down here carries the same thing (for cheaper!).

Just make sure the keep him covered - umbrella/tent, shorts & shirt, sun screen, a hat!, and don't stay out in the sun for too long, he has very sensitive skin at this age. Good luck & most importantly have a good time!

It's also a good idea to get there early in the morning so the sun is not directly above you and it's a little cooler out. Plus parking gets bad as the day goes on...
