What are some good tips and tricks for first time tanning in a tanning bed?

Ive never been to a tanning bed and im going to start going next week. What are some things i need to know?
Should i buy their lotions or will they give me some for free?
What should i wear in the bed?
What about those little eye cover things?

PS-dont tell me not to go. im just doing it for 2 months for my brothers wedding. im asking for help on when i do go. so saying not to go, is no help at all.

Body Lotion and Creams: What You Really Need to Know!

Not all body lotion and creams are created equal. In this article we are going to explore some of the differences in the various body creams and see what you can do to have vibrant, radiant skin that is also healthy.

To have healthy skin, it goes without saying you need a daily routine that you can follow.  This is especially true if you are one of the many who wake up each morning with skin that is itchy, flaky and or dry. Bed bugs just love flakey skin. (I am joking, but it's true). Using the right body creams can help stop that problem and give the bed bugs less to feed on.

One solution to dry skin and a host of other problems is to make sure you drink enough water. You've heard it before, but it's very true. Just make sure it's filtered to remove chlorine, with really dries out your skin.  There are also chlorine shower head filters available which remove the chlorine from your shower, which you may want to, consider. If used with the right body lotion and creams, you can win the battle against dry skin.

It is important to check the ingredients in any of the body creams you are considering. As many natural ingredients as possible are best. And, because I'm an animal lover I only use cruelty free products (not tested on animals). Oil based body creams give longer protection than a water based product. The proportion of oil to water in body lotion and creams will determine how thick or creamy your lotion will be. Soap can be an extremely drying agent to your skin. Again, use to as close to a natural soap product as possible when cleansing your skin. It's good to apply oil based body creams to slightly most skin, as this will help to lock in moisture longer and delay drying.

Before purchasing any of the body lotion and creams available, determine what kind of skin you have. This is important! If you have oily skin, you don't want a product that has too much of an oil content in it. If your skin is dry then you would want to consider one of the body creams with a heavier concentration of oil. Simple, but it makes sense.

Many of the body lotion and creams available today use vitamins A and E. These are both excellent ingredients. Vitamin E helps to keep the skin hydrated and give the skin a smooth feel. You will find vitamin A in body creams that are also used to protect you from the sun. If you are out in the sun for long periods of time you should consider this.

This brings me to my last point. Contrary to popular belief, staying out of the sun totally does not help your skin. Going into the sun for 20-30 minutes helps to promote the production of vitamin D, which is good for your overall health and skin. So, the bottom line to great looking skin is to have a daily routine, drink plenty of water, and use a natural soap for cleansing. Combine this with a little sun and body creams for your skin type, and you'll be on the way to beautiful skin.
