we all know that tan is the most attractive skin color....I'm not way concerned with looking good, but i would just like to know...
I have skin that has a reddish hue to it. Not like a cherry, but more red than most peoples. When my arms are in the sun, they get red-tan. You can't really tell that they're red unless you compare to someone elses, but i still don't like it. Is there any way to semi-permanently make yourself easier to tan...? Also any way to get rid of reddish hue?
...I'm pretty sure the answer is no to these questions, but just wondering.
Sunless tanning (also known as self tanning, fake tanning, or UVfree tanning) refers to applying chemicals to the body to produce an effect similar in appearance to a more traditional suntan. Sunless tanning arose in response to links between sun exposure and skin cancer discovered in the 1960s, along with other alternatives to natural sun tanning such as the use of a sunbed or tanning bed.The most effective products available are sunless tanning or self tanning lotions and sprays that contain dihydroxyacetone (DHA) as the active ingredient. The tan is not a dye, stain or paint, but a chemical reaction between the DHA and the amino acids in the dead layer on the skin surface. citation needed] This is similar to a reaction well known to food chemists called the Maillard reaction. Tanning addiction is a rare syndrome where an individual appears to have a physical and/or psychological addiction to sunbathing or the use of tanning beds. The mechanism of the addiction is unknown at this time.In 2005, a group of dermatologists published a study showing that frequent tanners experience a loss of control over their tanning schedule, displaying a pattern of addiction similar to smokers and alcoholics.Biochemical evidence indicates that tanning addicts are addicted to an opioid release experienced during tanning. When frequent tanners took an endorphin blocker in a 2006 study, they experienced severe withdrawal symptoms, while infrequent tanners experienced no withdrawal symptoms under the same conditions. A tanning bed or sunbed is a device emitting ultraviolet radiation (typically 95 UVA and 5 UVB, +/3) used to produce a cosmetic tan. Regular tanning beds use several fluorescent lamps that have phosphor blends designed to emit UV in a spectrum that is somewhat similar to the sun. Smaller, home tanning beds usually have 12 to 28 100 watt lamps while systems found in salons can run from 24 to 60 lamps, each consuming 100 to 200 watts. There are also high pressure tanning beds that generate primarily UVA with some UVB by using highly specialized quartz lamps, reflector systems and filters. These are much more expensive, thus less commonly used. A tanning booth is quite similar to a tanning bed, but the individual stands while tanning and the typical power output of booths is higher. How to Wear Snakeskin Print Jewelry
Snakeskin has always been a fun and playful way to add a little interest to your outfit, but a little bit goes a long way. One of the best ways to do this is by adding a touch of faux snakeskin jewelry in the form of a printed bangle, cuff or pendant. You can grab a neutral print that is versatile or a brightly colored one to rev things up.
If you're more on the practical side, then opt for natural hues in blacks, browns, tans and grays. A snakeskin bangle like this can easily be worn for work or play. Pair with solid black ensembles, tailored denim or a colored sheath dress. For a professional take on this trend, consider a gold circular pendant inset with snakeskin. Keep all other accessories solid print and let the snakeskin piece take center stage.
To kick it up a notch, try a piece of bold colored snakeskin jewelry. This will surely enliven your outfit. This season, there's a great selection of medium and large size bangles in every color of the rainbow. Celebs like Fergie, Eva Longoria and Hayden Panettiere are all fans of these brightly colored bangle bracelets. Eva wears hers with colored sundresses and piles on multiple bracelets for maximum impact. Fergie wears hers to punch up a dark pair of jeans. No matter how you choose to sport your animal spots, have fun wearing this great style statement.
If you love the look of snakeskin and you're willing to be a little daring, try a serpent shaped ring or cuff that wraps around the finger, wrist or arm. Studded in brilliant CZ rhinestones, these pieces create a pattern with hundreds of pave set stones. You're sure to be the center of attention with a fabulously fierce piece like this.
