96 dodge caravan dies after 30mile highway, gas peddle looses power?

i have a 96 dodge caravan after about 30miles of driving on the highway the gas peddle seems like it looses pressure and the engine stops. we have to coast to safety and let it sit for a while. After 30min it starts right up but dies again after a few blocks. If i let it sit for over 1hr. It fires right up again and goes another 30mile highway. we dont have that problem in the city. Anybody have an idea? We changed spark plugs, wires, fuel filter, oil. oil filter.

Ive seen cars do that with a bad crankshaft sensor,maybe when its running you can take it to a parts store and scan it for codes.
