What's THE BEST sunless tanning lotion?

Right now I'm using the Sublime Bronze from Loreal and I HATE it. Seriously, I have spots where it rubbed off and everything. I've also used a spray on that I bought from Sally's that was horrible as well. Are gradual self tanners better then just instant colour? Which one work best for people with extremely pale skin?
