need tanning advice...first time wearing bikini...stomach is pale! lol?

I've lost some weight over the past year, and I'm planning on wearing a bikini top and boardshorts for the first time since I was like 8 lol. Problem is, my stomach hasn't seen the light of day since then pretty much, so it's pretty pale. I've been trying some self tanners, (Banana Boat's Sundial and Coppertone Gradual Sunless Tanner), and they're ok, but they're not giving me the color I want. I just bought Banana Boat's Dark Tanning Lotion with SPF4 and was planning to lay outside later today using that. Any suggestions for how long I should stay in the sun? Or if that will even work? Any advice on how I can tan my stomach fairly quickly? I also need some color on my upper arms, shoulder and chest to even out with my lower arms (yes...semi-farmer tan lol) I'm going to the beach on Sunday with my coworkers, one of which I kinda have a crush on, and I don't want my body to have several different crazy tones lol. Thanks!

If you haven't tanned for awhile, you should start out at 15 minutes or so per day until you start to build up a tan. After that, you can stay out for further amounts of time depending on skin type and use of SPF lotion. Don't try to tan all at once. You'll just end up getting a good sunburn and peeling skin is less attractive than no tan at all.
