Cream Protection Spf Is it really that important to moisturize?
My dermatologist said to return my AmorePacific oil-free hydra-gel. I thought that moisturizing was essential. I have combination skin and Im 18. I live in nyc weather and Im being treated for cystic acne with erythromycin-benzoyl gel and doxycycline. I use Shiseido Ultimate Sun Protection Cream SPF 55 PA+++. I'm on the same medication. Sunscreen is really important. If your dermatologist says you don't need to moisturize, they're probably right - they're the professional, right? You should stop moisturizing for a while, then go back to your dermatologist and see what they say. Too much oil can cause breakouts, but too little oil can too. I moisturize when I need to - just when my skin is looking or feeling a little dry, thats usually 1-2 times a week, but it really depends on your skin. Good luck!
