anyone use Obagi Nu Derm?

lots of people are saying it actually works!, but it seems very expensive, for my skin type i would require the following products but are all of them actually required. e.g. can i use the Clear instead of the Blender?
and ive heard you actually need to use the Tretinoin cream for the system to be effective? this true?
and how important is it, that you have a skin doctor whilst your using the product? thanks

Changing Skin Care Regimens With Seasons

Your skin is not the same across all seasons of the year. In the winter, it becomes dry and flaky, in the summer it becomes prone to sun burns and in the rainy season, it becomes overtly oily because of the humidity.

As the colder draws to a close, it is a good time to update your skin care regimen and prepare your skin for the approaching warm weather. Here are some tips to help.

Exfoliate

Exfoliation scrapes off dead cells from the surface and promote the generation of new fresh cells from underneath. It is a great way to make the skin smooth and healthy and prepare it for the warmer months ahead. If you were exfoliating once in a month in winter, in the summer you should exfoliate about twice a week.

Use a good exfoliating skin care product that is not very harsh but removes the dead skin layer effectively.
