I just tried the Bare Escentuals mineral foundation but....?

Although I moisturized well before applying, it made my skin's imperfections even more visible - fine lines, pores, and texture you wouldn't really notice with liquid foundation. Also you could really tell that I have makeup on my face, although a professional tried the colors on me...Is it supposed to look this way? Also, does the SPF 15 in it really work? Has anyone had acne from it?
My alternative is Revlon's ColorStay oil free liquid foundation...Is it ok for someone who has acne?

I have never had acne from using minerals and I've been using minerals for years. I would suggest making sure you let your moisturizer set in your skin for at least 10 minutes before applying the minerals or any face makeup. If your skin is dry any kind of makeup is going to show off lines and pores on your face, Also, less is best. You really don't need a lot of the minerals to cover your skin. I would definitely go with an oil- free foundation if you have acne and you want to use a foundation for more coverage. I personally like the minerals and along with using Proactiv my face is now clear. it's almost like you are not wearing any makeup at all. Try the minerals again.
