How can I treat loss of pigmentation.?

Well, I'm 12 years old and I've been facing eczema for a long time, since I was an infant. I just had a big breakout of eczema where it flared up horrible everywhere. I now have loss of pigmentation on my arms(Right around the inside of my elbow), And on the back of my legs. Its extremely white and I'm a part hispanic, so it's really weird. Can tanning with tanning lotion help? Any other ideas?

I understand that. Should I ask my dermatologist if he can prescribe anything? I already wear long sleeve shirts and jackets, and I get asked about it al the time, its very embarrassing.

Do not tan without sunscreen because the worst thing for someone with eczema is to dry out, making you prone to getting a bigger break out.

I have had it since I was an infant too! I used to use celestone ointment which made me lose pigment in the elbow as well, but over time I have gained it back from sun tanning etc. I know the celestone is like magic when you apply it the next morning the eczema is gone, but it does bleach the skin. Try using alternatives next time, I have found pawpaw cream works well for relief and clears away, however not as well as prescribed creams. As you grow older it will eventually leave you but like myself in winter, I had a few attacks of it. However I haven't had the elbow eczema for over 4 years. Try obtaining QV wash and lotion, which will in the long run help because using soap will ruin your skin and QV wash and lotion daily will keep skin moistened thus no dry skin and no eczema.
