Is it better to keep using baby toothpaste or use a tiny amount of kid's toothpaste?

Kid's toothpaste (that has to be spit out) is ages 2 years plus. If you have a 2 year old who spits but doesn't get all of the toothpaste out is it better to keep using the baby tooth & gum cleansing gel or just to use a tiny amount of kid's toothpaste with flouride which they might end up swallow?

Basically -- does the infant gel cleansers get their teeth as clean as a kid's toothpaste with flouride would? We don't have flouride in our water, and she doesn't take the vitamins with added flouride because too much flouride is a bad thing. But flouride toothpaste is good for your teeth.

What do you think would be better?

We use regular toothpaste with our 2yr old. Not even the kid stuff. There's so little actual toothpaste on her brush, that the few times she doesn't spit it all out, it doesn't matter. Plus, small amounts of fluoride, are like you said, a good thing.

I don't see how baby toothpaste actually cleans anything. All it's intended for is to get toddlers used to brushing, long before they actually need to brush.
