How do I get adjust studio strobes to get rid of hot spots on models skin...especially the face.?

I am shooting in a studio setting with 3 strobes. the key light is a photoflex 300WS with full variable output., the other two lights are flashpoints...150ws lights. I use one as a backdrop light and one to light the hair/fill light. the key light has a white bounce umbrella (and even have fired through the umbrella), the hair light isoftene times used with a snoot and the backdrop light has colored gels attached to light the backdrop. Ihave movedd the key light....high...low...more off to the side...more to the head on position and no matter what I do, I get the white hot spots....harsh light...on the models' faces. I was using a silver lined umbrella and changed to the white....that did help some....any suggestions? I can edit them with photoshop, but I know that's not the best way, it doesn't render the best results, and quite frankly, it's time consuming...besides, if there's a "proper" way to do, it, I want to do it that way. thank you for any answers.

Some specular highlights can only be removed with a light dusting of Cornsilk powder to the model.

It is also possible that your lights are too close to your subject.

Gibson Dirty Fingers Guitar Pickup?

I've been looking at replacing the pickups in my Gibson Sg Special for awhile, and I've been debating the Seymour Duncan Hot Rodded set for awhile but i think i would prefer a higher output pickup than the jb-4(or whatever its called). So now my choice is between the Sh-2 Seymour Duncan in the neck and something else. I think that the Sh-6 seymour duncan distortion pickup would be nice but also the Gibson Dirty Fingers look appealing. I would like to know any opinions on any of these pickups and combo's, and also if the Dirty Fingers would be flexable or if it would be too metalish for most styles of distortion. I would also like to know if theres somewhere i try this pickups, or hear an accurate tone online for the Dirty Fingers. I never see them on guitars in stores, or are pickups more of a luckish thing for lack of a better word. Thanks in advance for any responses.

"I just had this put in my Gibson SG Standard, it sounds way better than the stock pickup. It is a four conductor pickup so it can support a coil tap, I had this done to mine and it sounds alot like a strat(it doesn't sound just like a strat because it isn't a strat) but it still sounds awesome. It sounds really good with marshall distortion, it has great harmonics and it has amaizing clairty. The low end isn't too muddy, the mids are sweet, and the highs are piercing but not overpowering. Over it is a really balanced pickup and I suggest you get i if you like to play rock and rol and classic metal. I almost forgot, it sounds AMAZING clean, if u get a push/pull circuit in it u will fall in love with it clean and dirty. "
