Why are some kids SO sensitive?

My daughter is very sensitive? My friend has 4 kids and one also is EXREMELY sensitive... why

I have one very sensitive daughter too. They usually turn out to be the most caring. They are more tuned in to what is going on around them, how everyone is feeling. I know when i feel a bit down or i`m worried about something, she will pick up on it right away and ask what`s wrong....? I truly believe they grow up into lovely caring adults who make the world a better place !

Does red #40 make some kids act hyper or aggressive?

I recently bought my 4 year old son some new sugar-free Popsicles and after he eats one his is unruly for about 4 hours after wards. My neighbor asked me if there was red #40 listed in the ingredients. She said some kids are sensitive to the food additive. I was wondering if anyone else has heard of this. Thanks for your time.

Yes, it is true for some children. But aside from the fact that it makes some children hyper, it is also an allergy to some children and can make them very sick. I would definitely try it as a little test. Just remove all foods/drinks that have any dyes from his diet and see what happens. There are all natural popsicles and other foods but you will really need to read the labels. You can also make your own popsicles with juice that has no dye in it. MANY foods targeted for children have dyes in them, as well as tons of other not-so-healthy ingredients.
