Kit Primer

Can I water-base paint over an oil-base primer (specifically BIN primer sealer)?

I found a can of Zinsser BIN white pigmented shellac primer sealer stain killer (to be exact) and was thinking of using this on an unfinished wood project, which I will be painting over with a water-base paint (Formby's antiquing kit) followed by glaze. Is this okay?

Yes

And it will work great too.

I have done this for 40 years now, and I have yet to see it ever fail.
