Battery charging light does not come on but is still charges?

I have an Alienware laptop... I can't remember the model number, but I don't think it matters.. Well, I have my computer plugged into the wall and the charging light on my laptop does not come on. But my computer is telling me that it is charging. Is the light important or can I live without it? Or is my computer being lame? I'm waiting to see if the battery life goes down but so far its hovering at 28%.

If you don't see the light on at any given time, the light probably burnt out and there is absolutely nothing you need to worry about.

Three Lame Custom Modifications for your Meathead Ride

Note: I am not against customizations for your ride. I am not against aftermarket car parts. I am not against giving your car some unique style. I am against brainless customizations that people do largely because "people are doing it." If you want to give your car some style, be smart about it and do it because YOU want to, not because the meatface down the street is telling you to. So, on to the list:

1)  Spoilers. Wow, look at you. You’ve got some extra plastic on the back of your ride. The plastic is colored and it sticks up. How and why people find this look appealing is beyond the scope of my imagination. Spoilers don't make your car look “sporty” or “professional” or “unique” it just looks like you are trying to make a flying machine out of your car but forgot the laws of physics, and aesthetic taste. Maybe my predilection towards minimalism is taking over my tastes more than just speech, art and interior design, and is leaking out even into material, engine-propelled objects but I like to think that a spoiler ruins the sleek edges of most cars. Keep it simple stupid, is a mantra I like to live my life by. I suggest you do as well.

2)  Nitrous kits. Why are you doing this? I know you’ve seen “Gone in 60 Seconds” and the entire “Fast and Furious” franchise films a hundred and one times, but that doesn’t mean you need to emulate them in the worst way possible. Remember, movies are not real. Movies sometimes reflect real life but car movies rarely do. The clips you see on Youtube are not real life either, they are kids emulating movies and thinking they are cool by strapping a nitrous kit on their ride and going 110mph down their suburban nowhere street. Unless you are a professional getting paid to break records or look cool you should not install a nitrous kit on your car. Save that money and spend it on an actual worthwhile car modification, like subtle, but unique rims or updated HID lights. These are practical and worthwhile modifications that will actually boost the resale value of your car, not make you look like a moron.

3)  Beyond legal window tint kits. Because your Camry is just like a limousine, right? There is a reason why limos are allowed to have darker tinted windows, because they are important. Stop thinking you are important; it’s not a good look. Resign yourself to being just another average dude who has some extra cash burning a hole in his pocket and wants to customize his ride. Sure, Johnny Bahama down the block got his Gallant windows tinted far beyond legal limit for one hundred bucks by his buddy’s cousin’s drug dealer who works at the body shop but that doesn’t mean you should too. Show the world that you are deserving of progeny and that our exploration and future population of other planets will not yield a further atrophying of our species. Make your mother proud and the “cops” off your tail and keep it legal, son.
