Hannah Robinson is just about to open the doors to her new shop Cupcakes on the Corner when out of the blue her boyfriend Patrick announces that he's leaving her for another woman. Faced with starting a business on her own, Hannah begins to wonder if her life-long dream has just turned into a nightmare. So her best friend Adam sets his birthday as a deadline--seven months to make her shop a success, or walk away from it all. And as Hannah immerses herself in her new business, she soon discovers that she's too busy to think about Patrick and his now pregnant girlfriend...or to notice an increasingly regular customer who has recently developed a sweet tooth for all things cupcake. But while Hannah is slowly piecing her life back together, family friend Alice's is falling apart. Her husband Tom's drinking is getting out of control and things are about to get a whole lot worse. As the seven-month milestone approaches, Hannah must decide her future. And while she's figuring out what's really important, it becomes clear to everyone that happiness in life, and in love, is all in the making.
There's been a lot of magic flying around these past couple of years, but like a lot of supernatural stuff, from time to time it needs a little bit more of an edge. That's where the Sweet Girls Sorceress Costume comes in. It's just scary enough for Halloween (practioners of the black arts are implicitly frightening to most people), but doesn't need to get overly clever about it. After all, why does an enchantress need to convince anybody of anything? They can just turn whoever into a newt. The Sweet Girls Sorceress Costume comes with a black, velvet hooded down, for all of your witching needs. From British director Nigel Cole, whose sweet-hearted comedies CALENDAR GIRLS and SAVING GRACE shared a similar combination of humor and true emotion, A LOT LIKE LOVE is the story of two friends who seem destined to love each other--if they can ever realize that themselves. Meeting on a flight from Los Angeles to New York, naive Oliver (Ashton Kutcher) and tough Emily (Amanda Peet) have sex in an airplane lavatory before learning each other's names. Despite this intimate introduction, Emily is uninterested in getting to know the guy she just picked up, telling Oliver frankly that he's not her type. The two part ways, but end up running into each other hours later in what proves to be just the first of many semi-coincidental romantic encounters. After spending a fun day together in the city, Oliver gives Emily his home number and tells her to call him in 6 years, once he's gotten his life and career figured out. When an unforeseen breakup leaves Emily dateless for New Year's Eve a few years later, she calls Oliver and they meet again. In the years that have passed since their first meeting, Emily has taken up acting, Oliver has started an online diaper-selling business, and both have gotten more flattering haircuts. But Emily is disappointed to learn that Oliver is moving to San Francisco for business the next day. Over the course of a few years, Emily and Oliver grow to depend on each other in times of crisis, and develop a solid friendship. While each sporadic encounter contains an undeniable spark, the timing never seems to be right, with several bad relationships, career transitions, and location changes getting in the way. But will the pair realize their feelings for each other and get together before it's too late?

On the lot - Sweet
I have a lot of sweet gum trees. Can they be sterilize to stop the gum balls?
Strangely, yes. There is a compound that can be applied regularly and it has an enzyme or steroid that blocks the flowering or the seed-set. You can have an arborist inject "Snipper" into the trunk but it costs about $300 and needs to be done each year. You can also use the remedy of nailing a row of copper nails into the trunk before the leaves come out and removing them each year when the gum balls fall from un-treated trees - put them back in each year, but remove them in the other season to allow the tree to recover from the treatment. Lastly, I have heard some Rabbir and Deer repellents, when applied to the tree (I am guessing the trunk?) will stop it from creating the balls. We cut our Gum down. Apparently there are males that do not form balls, but ours made plenty of them and was too close to other trees in the yard.
