Lot Tanning If you know a lot about indoor tanning lotions, please read & answer?
I am looking for the "perfect" indoor tanning lotion for me. I would like for the price to be reasonable, but above all, I would like to find an indoor tanning lotion w/every aspect of what I'm looking for. I don't have time to research myself. I need an indoor tanning lotion that will give a dark tan, NO BRONZER, preferrably w/hemp in it. It doesn't matter if it has "tingle" or not. I want it to have ingredients that are anti-aging (helps keep skin from wrinkling, keeps it firm, toned, conditioned, soft & supple). If it had "shimmer" in it as well, that would be a plus. I know these types exist, I just haven't got time to find one w/ALL of those aspects. Most of the ones I've found w/most of what I want, have bronzer in them, but I dont want bronzer. Please answer w/brand & the names of the lotions that may be what I'm looking for. Thanks a lot!
Try fixation aura. Ive tried all kinds of tanning lotions. It doesnt have bronzers or shimmer stuff in it. I think they put that stuff in it cuz it makes you look even tanner when you use it but when you take a shower and the bronzer is gone your not as tan as you thought. if you want to be bronze and shimmery id just use regular lotion with that effect in it. i use avon shimmer lotion or olay quench lotion they both make you shimmery and look tanner. but that stuff isnt going to accelerate your tan in a bed. so anyway try aura! im about to try the same brand but its a tingler called fetish.
Sunless tanning (also known as self tanning, fake tanning, or UVfree tanning) refers to applying chemicals to the body to produce an effect similar in appearance to a more traditional suntan. Sunless tanning arose in response to links between sun exposure and skin cancer discovered in the 1960s, along with other alternatives to natural sun tanning such as the use of a sunbed or tanning bed.The most effective products available are sunless tanning or self tanning lotions and sprays that contain dihydroxyacetone (DHA) as the active ingredient. The tan is not a dye, stain or paint, but a chemical reaction between the DHA and the amino acids in the dead layer on the skin surface. citation needed] This is similar to a reaction well known to food chemists called the Maillard reaction. Tanning addiction is a rare syndrome where an individual appears to have a physical and/or psychological addiction to sunbathing or the use of tanning beds. The mechanism of the addiction is unknown at this time.In 2005, a group of dermatologists published a study showing that frequent tanners experience a loss of control over their tanning schedule, displaying a pattern of addiction similar to smokers and alcoholics.Biochemical evidence indicates that tanning addicts are addicted to an opioid release experienced during tanning. When frequent tanners took an endorphin blocker in a 2006 study, they experienced severe withdrawal symptoms, while infrequent tanners experienced no withdrawal symptoms under the same conditions. A tanning bed or sunbed is a device emitting ultraviolet radiation (typically 95 UVA and 5 UVB, +/3) used to produce a cosmetic tan. Regular tanning beds use several fluorescent lamps that have phosphor blends designed to emit UV in a spectrum that is somewhat similar to the sun. Smaller, home tanning beds usually have 12 to 28 100 watt lamps while systems found in salons can run from 24 to 60 lamps, each consuming 100 to 200 watts. There are also high pressure tanning beds that generate primarily UVA with some UVB by using highly specialized quartz lamps, reflector systems and filters. These are much more expensive, thus less commonly used. A tanning booth is quite similar to a tanning bed, but the individual stands while tanning and the typical power output of booths is higher. Home Tanning Beds
Home tanning beds are popular with those who have the space and who want to get a healthy, golden glow without a lot of hassle. Two of the biggest reasons why people are tanning inside their homes are privacy and convenience. With home tanning beds, you tan when it's convenient. There are no appointments to make, no lines to wait in, and you don't have to wait for a sunny day!
When you tan at home in your own home tanning beds, you have everything you need to create a comfortable environment, too. You can choose the music that you enjoy listening to. You don't have top listen to what everyone else does. You can undress without having to go into the same dressing room used by countless strangers, either. You grab your own robe and then disrobe without wondering who is watching. When you're finished with your tanning session, you can hop into your own shower and you can stay there as long as you want.
Keep safety in mind when choosing a tanning bed for your home.
When choosing home tanning beds, safety is first in line of importance. When you tan at a salon, you don't have to know about bulbs and lotions and other tanning details because the owners have already purchased the units and supplies they feel are safest. If you have questions, there is plenty of helpful staff ready to give you the answers you need. But that's not how it is when you tan at home.
You will benefit by taking some time to familiarize yourself with the tanning bed options, the industry leaders, the replacement parts, and even the dangers of incorrect usage before you go shopping for home tanning beds. With a basic understanding, you'll have a better chance of comprehending the information that the salespeople are giving you. That's going to give you a better chance of buying the unit that'll provide you with best and safest tan.
And with that knowledge, you'll also be in a better position to compare the different prices you see on home tanning beds. As with many things in life, low cost should not be your number one consideration. When it comes to tanning beds, cost doesn't necessarily mean quality. This is going to be a sizeable investment, so take as much time as you need to really research the features of all the beds you're interested in. And most importantly, always make sure that when comparing costs, you're comparing similar features.
Maintaining your indoor tanning bed is important also.
When you do make a purchase, make sure you understand how to properly maintain your unit. Doing so is going to help you protect your investment. In general, home tanning beds do not require a lot of maintenance. They need to be cleaned regularly, and you will need to replace the tanning bed bulbs as needed. It's a good idea to have replacement bulbs on hand so there's never any interruption in your tanning regime.
