Magic Bed Tanning

Will a high pressure tanning bed give me a base to be able to use a low pressure bed?

NO ANSWERS ABOUT SKIN CANCER OR TO JUST USE SPRAY TAN!
I just started tanning. I've been trying to pick which tanning salon I like best so each time I've gone to different salons. The first time I used a high pressure bed for 12 minutes (Magic 360) it got me tan and did not burn me. The 2nd time I used a standup at hollywood tans for 6 minutes (HT60), 3rd time I used a regular low pressure bed for 10 minutes and it burned the hell out of me. So, if I stick with the high pressure bed since it has mostly only UVA rays and not UVB until I develop a base would i be able to use a regular low pressure bed later without burning?

Yeah I would think that would work out fine.
I normally use the quickest one which doubles your tan so instead of being in there for a full 20 mins Im only in there for 10 with the same out as the 20 min one! Works great, never burn either.

Airbrush Tanning Equipment Can Combat That Pasty Look

In the old days, a tan was a sign of a laborer and considered unattractive. However, times have changed and these days a tan is seen as an indicator of wealth, class and beauty. Many people do not have the time to devote to tanning the old fashioned way. This presents a need for new ways to acheive the desired look. One such creation is airbrush tanning equipment.

Mankind's first attempt to mimic Mother Nature was based upon bulbs which emit the same type rays produced by the sun. Those desiring a quick tan were subjected to claustrophobic conditions and exposed to potentially harmful ultraviolet (UV) rays. For many years, this was the only option for those seeking an indoor tanning solution.

Recently, another possibility has emerged. It is now possible to achieve that glowing tan without exposing your skin to UV rays and with no need to be cramped in a tanning bed for extended periods of time. This magic is made possible by a substance called dihydroxyacetone which was discovered during the early 20th century. Commonly called DHA, it has the effect of creating a "faux tan" when applied to the skin. DHA is produced by many manufacturers for commercial tanning use. Some add additional beneficial ingredients such as vitamin E, natural oils, and other skin softeners.

Spray tans have advantages and disadvantages. Some claim they are not as realistic as UV based tans and that they fade far more rapidly. Others feel strongly that prolonged ultraviolet ray exposure entails risks which far outweigh the marginal benefits yielded by traditional tanning bed use. In the end it is a personal decision for the customer, as well as the salon owner. Once you have decided that spray tanning is for you, the next step is to determine which method of application best suits your particular needs. There are two main categories of equipment in the spray tanning arena. The first are booths in which the user stands and is automatically sprayed with the active ingredient. The second are handheld, portable devices called airbrushes. A booth is typically more expensive, but an airbrush usually requires more skill on behalf of the operator.

An airbrush has several other advantages. A skilled person using an airbrush can create a flawlessly uniform and sparkling tan. It is also easier to avoid mouth or nose contact with DHA using an airbrush as compared to a booth. It is strongly advised that DHA is not inhaled.
