suncream and ferrets?

one of my ferrets has adrenal gland disease, and it's getting very hot and sunny round here. my vet has recommended sun protection for him. does anyone know if i can use mild/children's suncream on him whilst he's outside? or better yet, if you've had a ferret with this, what did you use?
mittens. my ferrets don't live outside. but 4 of 12 of them travel with me, and this one isn't happy unless he comes. but they live inside so shade isn't a problem. i dont want to change what he's used to and lock him inside away from the others because he's ill.

use a children's suncream whilst outside. but make sure it is cream, and not oil spray. that contains alcohol which will most likely irritate the skin.
make sure its not a spray cream, so you don't get it in his eyes. has to be one you squirt onto your hand to rub on him.
and be sure to wash it off (with baby wipes to stop the skin becoming too dry) when he comes back inside.
glad he's being well treated. adrenal disease can be nasty.
check back at your vets soon, have some skin tests done and ask about what chemicals to avoid.
for now, you'll be fine with kids cream, and you'll probably be told to keep using the same one.
