how do you stop peeling skin from spreading?

I got sunburn a few weeks ago at the beach and I noticed bumps. Then the skin started peeling its on the left side of my cheast and its really embarassing. The skin keeps peeling and won't stop, leaving me with an ugly white spot that is growing. How can I stop it from peeling!? I'm using moisturzing lotion and aloe.. but its not working. Help!

I burned recently and started peeling and I tried EVERYTHING... cocoa butter and lotion (doesnt really work), aloe vera (doesnt work), scrubbing/exfoliating (dont do this, makes it worse and spreads it!), etc. The only thing that made it stop peeling was when I put Biosilk on it. It's found in the hair product aisle of target and probably walmart (it's kind of like a leave-in conditioner), but on the bottle it says you can put it on skin too. It might cost you $10-15, but it is sooo worth it and within a couple days I stopped peeling (make sure you PAT it on, and not rub it in so you dont make it peel more). I also kept tanning.
