How well do mystic tans work for REALLY pale skin?

I can't tan at all. I just turn red and yucky. A friend suggested Mystic Tan to get that golden color. How well does it work though? Any known horror stories of coming out streaky and orangey? I know it says it's a "perfect tan" but really how's it gonna work on my skin since I'm pale. Will it make me unnaturaly tan? Any tips/advice/experience is so appreciated!

I did the mystic tan twice.The first time I did it I was sprayed by a 360 degree machine.Its supposed to get the color all over your body then all you have to do is blend.I guess I didn't blend enough because I came out orange and streaky and the color didn't come out on my face at all.
The 2nd time I got it done was at a spa.The lady used the Mystic tan but she sprayed it on me herself.It was really cold!It took about 10 or 15 minutes.When she 1st started putting it on me it looked great but she kept putting more and more and more and I looked horrible.I was an orange mess.As soon as I came home I washed it off.
My best advice is to buy some tinted moisturizers like Vaseline or Dove.It gives you great color,usually doesnt streak but it does smell really bad.Make sure you exfoliate and shave before putting on any fake tanner.
