How do you remove excess mystic tan "lines" around palms, knuckles,and soles?

I'm fair skinned and my first mystic tan has obvious tan lines around palms, knuckles and the soles of my feet. I've tried soaking my hands in epson salt water. I've scrubbed and scratched.Nothing happens. I just want to soften the lines.

have you tried a little creme hair remover like nair?
It may work.
