What is a safe way to get a nice tan?

Is laying out unsafe even if you use a low SPF sunscreen for short amounts of time? Is there a product that looks natural?

My boyfriend and I have used the Jergens tinted moisturizer and it worked really great! I was surprised because I've used other brands (neutrogena) and they turned me orange. The Jergens looked very real and it was gradual so it wasn't like one day I was white, the next day brown!

OK, so we've all seen the infomercials on skin care products that promise you a youthful and younger appearance. Celebrities are quick to either endorse products or create their own skin care product lines. When these infomercials first came out, no one was concerned with the ingredients or that fact that some of those chemicals contained harsh abrasives and preservatives that would actually cause damage in the long run.
