How to get a natural tan?

I want to get a natural tan but do I need to put on tanning oil or anything? I always wear sunscreen, should i continue to do this?

Tan very cautiously! If you don't naturally tan easily, don't force it, and learn to love the skin tone you have (which, you should be doing anyway).

YES, you want sunscreen! Getting sunburned shouldn't result from tanning.
Be sure to drink lots of water, as well. It also helps to eat healthily and make sure you aren't lacking any nutrients that are beneficial to your skin. Body lotions don't count as nutrients, though moisturizer can help protect your skin.
