How do these sunless tanning lotions compare in creating dark deep tans: Fake Bake, St. Tropez, Neutrogena?

Fake Bake and St. Tropez don't have different levels like Neutrogena (light, medium, deep). I've used Neutrogena deep and it gets pretty dark. Do Fake Bake and St. Tropez get as dark or darker? The light and medium sunless tanners really don't make a difference on my skin.

Secondly, how do the scents compare? Neutrogena doesn't smell great. I can't wait to shower the scent off. I'd like to try St. Tropez or Fake Bake if they get at least as dark.

Please only answer if you've tried one of the above mentioned.

I use a L'oreal one, in a spray and it is excellent, there is another one that is a bronzer, and that is excellent. Try those if you get them where you are.

sunlees tanner that actually shows color that appears?

i would love to get a head start on my tan for the summer. unfortunately i hate it when i cannot see the color i am about to put on my skin-for example in order to buy a sunless tanning lotion i have to be able to open up the cap and see a brownish colored lotion. especially since i need to be aware of how much and where i am applying it. i have fairish medium skin color and have thought of trying Neutrogena but their line only comes in medium and deep tones. if anyone has any suggestions for alternative products that would be very much appreciated. feel free to send any questions tom myself at mammamia139@yahoo.com. thanks as always

I have fair skin too.

I started using Johnson and Johnson's Holiday Skin, I am very happy with the results. Just apply a small layer everyday after you shower and it builds up over 7 days. Then you only have to apply it 1-2x per week. It is less likely to streak because it only slowly builds up. However it is not a brown coloured lotion, but i think it is still easy to apply it all over without help from anyone else. If you leave a small gap it wont matter because it is such a gradual product. I use the body lotion for fair skin and also the face lotion. My work colleagues thought i was away on holiday, but actually i had the flu for several days and used the lotion while i was bored at home =)

It is important to use one with a built in moisturiser, as this will help prevent streaks (You can get brown spots in dry areas).

Have a shower, run your whole body with a body wash/soap and use a flanel or scrubbing sponge to remove oil/dead skin. Then use the tanning lotion, if it doesn't have a moisturiser you will need to moisturise first, paying attention to dry areas (elbows / knees). Then evening apply lotion to whole body. Then wash the lotion off your toe nails / finger nails / palms of hands. Then spend about 30 minutes naked to prevent your clothes/towels rubbing off the lotion. After applying don't do any sweat provoking activities for atleast 4 hours as sweat can cause streaking.
