Isotretinoin side effects--Sun Sensitivity?

I am 15 years old, and currently taking Isotretinoin. I have experienced many side effects from taking Isotretinoin (also known as Acutane), including dry skin, peeling skin, dry cracked lips, and increased sun sensitivity (I burn very easily, even when I haven't spent much time outside). An example of this was yesterday at a lake: 5 minutes after putting on SPF-60 sunscreen, I had literally already started to burn.
This afternoon is an FSU baseball game (which I usually enjoy watching), but the temperature is going to be over 100 degrees, and the burn index is 11/10 (less than 10 minutes to burn). I really do not want to go (instead stay home or go shopping w/ mom or sis), but I cannot convince dad to let me miss watching this game (saying it will be a "bonding" experience). He's offered to buy me hyperallergenic sun screen and stuff, but I don't think this will be effectual for 3 hours in such weather conditions. Please help me convince my dad to let me "sit out" this one.

just don't go. I can't imagine he is forcing you. tell him that you can't believe he'd put your health at risk just to see a baseball game. that should guilt him into letting you skip it. just say "do you want me to get skin cancer?" if you do have to go. just bring high spf sunscreen and reapply it frequently. also wear a hat.

if you wear a hat and keep reapplying you should be fine.

Sunburns are most common at that age when kids are off enjoying activities without their parents. About 2/3 of American children do not get adequate sun protection.

It's important to shield your children's skin from the damaging effects of the sun. Solar radiation, and ultraviolet (UV) light in partictilar, is increasing worldwide with the thinning of the protective ozone layer. Over 90% of ultraviolet radiation is UVA, which is most intense in early morning and afternoon, can pass through window glass, penetrates into the dermis, and causes tanning and wrinkling. UVB is most pronounced midday, does not penetrate window glass, and is associated with sunburn. Ultraviolet liglit hasbeen implicated in multiple human diseases from skin cancer tocataracts to immune suppression.

Sunburns and damaging tans more than double during a child’s second summe. Sun protection depends on the fiber, weave, and fabric color.
