does application of coconut oil before bath make your skin fairer or darker?

Some ppl say that it makes the skin fairer while some say it makes the skin darker. If the oil is applied before bath, so no sun exposure. Personal experience needed

I asked my doctor about products like that, and scrubs. She told me that most creams and lotions do not penetrate the skin: your skin is one of the body's protection methods, it keeps stuff from entering your bloodstream through the skin. There have to be certain ingredients in it for it to penetrate the skin, and I can tell you it's probably not in cocoa butter. Some products like testosterone creams will make your skin lighter if you use them for over two weeks, but I think the only thing that will make your skin darker is bronzing lotion and the sun. Also, scrubbing only irritates your skin, it doesn't take off dead skin cells.

So you are back home after a long and tiring day at work. You probably feel as if the life has been sucked out of you. But unfortunately there is an important event you need to attend for which you are just in no mood for after you have slogged at work.
