This is a ? about airline travel...?
What are you allowed to take in a carry on these days. How should prescription medications be taken.? Should they all be kept in the orig bottles? Also how about things like tweezers and fingernail clippers? Do they take them from you?? We havent flown for a number of years, but due to a sick relative in another state, we might be faced with this situation.

Of the things you mentioned. With medicine it is always best to keep it in the original bottles. Tweezers and fingernail clippers are ok.
The most likely thing people now run into are liquid restrictions:
All liquids, gels and aerosols must be in three-ounce or smaller containers. Larger containers that are half-full or toothpaste tubes rolled up are not allowed. Each container must be three ounces or smaller. All liquids, gels and aerosols must be placed in a single, quart-size, zip-top, clear plastic bag. Gallon size bags or bags that are not zip-top such as fold-over sandwich bags are not allowed. Each traveler can use only one, quart-size, zip-top, clear plastic bag. Each traveler must remove their quart-sized plastic, zip-top bag from their carry-on and place it in a bin or on the conveyor belt for X-ray screening. X-raying separately will allow TSA security officers to more easily examine the declared items. See the link for a comprehensive list of all allowed/banned items. These days it is pretty much common sense...they do not have the very extreme restrictions they had a couple years back.
