Mens Shavers, Phillips HS 8060?

I bought my boyfriend this phillips shaver, he never uses blades to shave on the side of his face, only trims as he doesn't want thick facial hair to grow back, will this shaver be like using blades, e.g mack3 or will it just trim as he wants.

If he uses the trimmer part o k , but if he uses the shaver heads then it will not be effective.
