We cannot do with our lives without philosophy. Philosophy begins in wonder. And, at the end, when philosophical thought has done its best, the wonder remains. We all use philosophy in life. Remeber that all the children begin as philosophers, iterating their wonder at the world by means of the "wh" - questions - why, what, which - until the irritation of parents, and the school room's authority on the subject of facts, put an end to their desire to ask them.

You see, philosophy is a set of pursuits which, in various ways and across a range of endeavours, investigates truth, menaing, knowledge, reson, existence, and value. these at first seem heady matters, but almost everyone at some point ponders them, so they are in fact familiar to everyone. The only difference between discussing them in the a pub or any place and even studying them at university is that the latter endeavour aims to be more thorough and systematic.
