HELP! dryy skin?!?

hey well i have very dry skin especially myy face and thats what bothers me most. i wear a little bit of powder foundation everyday but with my dry skin it shows up and i live in new york and its really cold and dry which doesnt help my face at all. i put on ponds moisturizing cream everytime i get out of the shower, before i go to sleep and before i put on makeup. it doesnt help me one bit.!!

i wanna know what is a good brand or product!!! i dont have perfect skin so i like wearing makeup but with the dryness underneath it looks horrible and makes it worse. even if i try using moisturizing make up it doesnt do anything!! uh please help me!! thanks.

... i know it sounds gorss, but try cleansing your face with baby oil... just put some on some tissue and wipe off your make up... it really works great as a cleanser.. it will feel kinda greasy for about 5 minutes after, but it will go away.. after about 5 or 10 minutes apply your regular moisturizer. any vaseline moisturizers are good for dry skin.

also, if you wash your face 2 x a day, you could scale it back to once a day. and use a ver mild cleanser... you might even try a cream cleanser cause they are less drying... but if you dont wash 2x a day, i would only wash it with cleanser on days you wear make up... on days you dont wear make up just run over your face with a wet washcloth.
you also need to exfoliate often... the best way i have found to do that without irritating your skin too much, is when you wahs your face with whatever cleanser you use, add a lil baking soda to it til its a lil pasty... its avery gentle exfoliant and you can do it everyday without irritation... and it makes you skin really smooth!

is talcum powder(ponds) is good for face.i'm 32yrs. female.?

It is good for acne. Each night before you go to bed wash your face with facial cleanser then pat it dry. Then pour some powder on your hand and pat it on your face covering your entire face. It looks a bit strange but it really is worth it. make sure the whole face is covered in an even layer and go to bed like that. When you awake in the morning your skin will feel so soft, this is particularly effective for acne prone skin. My friend tried this and now twice a week she goes through this procedure to keep her acne away. She has told me that it really does work for her. This has really helped my skin to stay clear, whenever i do get a spot i just cover it in powder and that calms it down, by the next day it will have gone.
