Would anyone consider buying Alienware's all powerful laptop?

There it is for people who haven't seen it.

I can see three big problems with it.

1, Paying $1799 for a Core 2 Duo 2.4GHz and a GeForce GTX260M when you can buy a far faster I7 desktop for close to half that price. And that is their cheapest model.

2, If you look at the picture of it that red light isnt a bulb its the heat given off by all of those components. I bet this thing breaks all the time and gives you a nice sun tan sitting next to it.

3, It weighs over 5kgs. I wouldnt call that portable. So why not go for the more powerful desktop for half the price.

Sorry this was just a rant but i cant understand how alienware get away with charging people so much for such rubbish. And their desktop computers are 10X as bad.

Can anyone explain to me the appeal and the of their computers and why people buy so many of them?

For that price, it'd better come with quad core, and at least 4GB already in it. Also, the ability to choose which OS you want, because Vista wouldn't be worth it.
I like how they say "You can upgrade it". Screw that! If I'm paying nearly 2k for a freaking laptop, it better come with the high end stuff already in it.
8GB of memory is an overload, nothing uses that much memory anyway. Two 280's is over kill as well.
I don't know how they get away with it either, I'm right there with you.
I bet anyone could build that exact laptop, only better, on ibuypower for so much less.

I don't see the appeal in them, personally, because I'm smarter than that.
But humans are ignorant creatures. Wave something shiny in their face and they go stupid in a hurry.
The only reason people go with Alienware is because of the label. That's really what they're paying for anyway, the label.
Alienware could sell a hot steaming turd and people would buy it, just because it's Alienware.

If there is one equipment you should not miss in your training, it is the stability ball. The market comes up with new training tools every now and then. Yet you are not sure if they do work and if they are safe. So for one that is guaranteed to work, use the stability ball.

What Is a Stability Ball?

This is a large and inflatable ball used as an exercise equipment. Despite being air-filled, it is generally heavy-duty and capable to hold 600 to 700 pounds of weight. It is comfortable and gives good support. It perfectly suits the trainee as it easily goes with the structure of the body.

This exercise tool is also sometimes called as the physioball or the Swiss Ball.

Then, in the early 1960’s, Aquilino Cosani, an Italian toy maker, made the ball and sold it, known then as the ‘Gymnastik.’ Two decades after, Cosani came up with a company called Gymnic and became the major supplier of the stability ball to most rehabilitation programs and centers.

The ball then shifted from the rehabilitation to the athletic area, in the 90’s. It was used to condition the body of professional athletes. From then on, the ball became very prominent in the fitness community.

At present medical specialists and fitness professionals very much recommend the use of the stability ball by the public. It serves more than solving physical problems. It is good in preventing you from having one.

What Are the Benefits of Using a Stability Ball?
