Can you still get tan if you are wearing sunscreen to protect from sunburn?

I was curious if you can still get a tan if you are wearing a sunscreen with a sufficient SPF to protect you from getting a sun burn. Thank you in advance!

Yes, sunscreen just screens the skin and allows you to still tan if you are exposed long enough...sunblock blocks it out. Hints why they are called sunscreen and sunblock. Hope this helps!
