Rehydrating skin?

Whats the best way to hydrate your face? reason i am asking is cause i started drinking alot of water each day for the last 4 days and i have noticed a huge difference in my skin... neck down.. and little in the face.. why does my body hydrate first and how long till my face starts getting more hydrated?

if i spelled hydrated wrong my bad..
