Okay i am naturally dark and it is summer. It is very hot and bright out where I live. How can I prevent tanning? I wear dark clothes and jackets to prevent tanning. But i heard dark clothes absorb light, so is my body tanning. Is there any facials or creams that remove unwanted tans? What season should i expect my tan to be gone? I know i girl who had a tan for a year. I live in Southern California and it is sunny most of the time. If i wear thin layers of clothes will i still tan.

It's not so much the color of your clothing, but if you take a flashlight and shine it through the material of a shirt for example, that is how much sunlight can get through and leave you with a tan. The best thing you can do is wear a high spf all over your body as a moisturizer, they sell spf 70 and 80 these days and that combined with staying covered can help.
