I went out to buy LED Christmas lights and was told that there are no replacement bulbs available...?

I bought a string of LED lights anyway and 8 of the bulbs were bad so I returned them and got my money back.
If we are being pushed to buy LED lights, why aren't replacement bulbs available on the shelves?
I'm referring to C5 and C6 bulbs.
I have been in several stores carrying LED lights and none of them sell replacement bulbs.

No problem, you can find LEDs at your local Radio Shack? They come in a batch, and the prongs should fit the sockets of the light string. Do not install them without using the original snap fittings the burned bulbs came out of. Note: Be sure not to purchase LEDs that are not within the amps of the original. They will either not light up, or they will overheat; melting the diode its self. Consult the package the string lightining came in for the bulb amp information and bring the package with you to the store. Get the salesmen to assist you in picking the appropriate kind. Once installed, monitor the bulbs to make sure its the right ones for the string.
