Biologic response modifiers (BRMs) are substances that stimulate the body`s response to infection and disease. The body naturally produces small amounts of these substances. Scientists can produce some of them in the laboratory in large amounts for use in treating infections and other diseases. This issue reviews the use of BRMs to treat infectious diseases as well as the infectious complications of BRMs used to treat non-infectious diseases. Articles on vaccines, antibodies, interferon, and other substances are included.

• Healthy joint, muscle, and cartilage function • Sinus and bronchial health • Normal inflammation response • Strong cardiovascular health • Individual cell health throughout the body SerraPhase is an all-natural, potent systemic protein enzyme that supports the body's normal inflammation response. Serratiopeptidase has been used in Europe and Japan for over 30 years as a safe, natural way to maintain a normal level of inflammation. When there is irritation, injury or toxins in the body, the normal inflammation response sends white blood cells to the area, resulting in cellular debris or dead cells. If the body does not efficiently remove this debris as part of the normal post-inflammatory response, pools of stagnant, dead tissue and fluid may continue to cause swelling, on-going irritation, more inflammation, and block normal circulation and healing. SerraPhase supports the normal post-inflammatory break up and elimination of this cellular debris. Special areas of effectiveness may be joint areas and the sinus and bronchial cavities where packs of dry, dead mucus have acccumulated. It contains a natural, enteric-coated protein enzyme that breaks up and disperses collected cellular debris remaining in inflamed areas, supporting healthy circulation and normal inflammation response throughout the body – in joints, muscles, tendons, cartilage, and even the heart, sinuses, and bronchials. Take SerraPhase tablets to support a normal, healthy inflammation response in the body. It's important to take enough serratiopeptidase to help support the normal inflammatory response. SerraPhase contains 10 mg (20,000 IU) per tablet. Every tablet is enteric coated so that the enzyme is absorbed into the bloodstream and works systemically throughout the whole body when taken on an empty stomach.
The flat, 50Hz-20kHz frequency response of the Shure SM7B Microphone with Switchable Response is designed especially for spoken word, but recording engineers have discovered that it's also an exceptional mic for adding body to thin vocals and handling loud rock/metal singers. It also has the ability to tame harsh or sibilant sounds from hi-hat, cymbals, and voice. The SM7B is highly shielded against electrical interference, and includes bass roll-off and mid-range emphasis (presence boost) controls with graphic display, and internal "air suspension" shock isolation. It ships with a standard windscreen and an A7WS detachable windscreen for close-talk applications. Need some convincing that this might be the mic for you? This is the vocal mic, then known as simply the SM7, that Bruce Swedien used to record Michael Jackson's vocals on Thriller, the best-selling album of all time and it's a favorite of Anthony Kiedis of Red Hot Chili Peppers as well.Application note: The SM7B is a low output mic, so plugging direct into an audio interface may not offer enough gain. In such a case you need a preamp with a decent amount of gain. Due to its smooth sound and thickening characteristics, a transparent-sounding preamp will be a preferred choice. (See our Preamp Buying Guide for a thorough discussion of transparent vs. color preamps.)Flat, wide-range frequency response for exceptionally clean and natural reproduction of both music and speechBass roll-off and mid-range emphasis (presence boost) controls with graphic display of response settingImproved rejection of electromagnetic hum, optimized for shielding against broadband interference emitted by computer monitorsInternal "air suspension" shock isolation virtually eliminates mechanical noise transmissionHighly effective pop filter eliminates need for any add-on protection against explosive breath sounds, even for close-up vocals or narrationNow shipping with the A7WS detachable windscreen, designed to reduce plosive sounds and gives a warmer tone for close-talk vocalsYoke mounting with captive stand nut for easy mounting and dismounting provides precise control of microphone positionClassic cardioid polar pattern, uniform with frequency and symmetrical about axis, to provide maximum rejection and minimum coloration of off-axis soundRugged construction and excellent cartridge protection for outstanding reliability

Social Responsibility- A Definite Aspect of Corporate Image
This article will provide brief overview about definition, conceptual views as well as possible environmental actions related to the notion of business's social responsibility. Example will be cited to highlight successful facilitation of a socially responsible business.
With ever increasing concern on environmental hazards and issues related to various products and services, it is becoming an undeniable fact that a business should ensure its social responsibility to facilitate a societal sensitive corporate image. Koontz & Weihrich (1990) asserts that corporate social responsibility is nothing more than seriously considering the impact of company's action on society. However a more comprehensive definition refers social responsibility with the degree to which a company recognizes what being a good community and global citizen means and acts accordingly (Slocum, 1995:17). It was further asserted that there are three basic conceptual views of social responsibility are generally acknowledged. First ‘traditional social responsibility' is referred to the perception that by serving the interests of shareholders, organization is fulfilling its social responsibility. Second, ‘stakeholder social responsibility' perceives that managers and employees have obligations towards identifiable group (stakeholders) that are affected by or can affect organizational efforts to achieve its goal. The difference here is replacement of group definition ‘shareholder' with ‘stakeholder' where latter covers broader range of members including shareholders, customers, competitors, government agencies, unions, employees, debt holders trade unions, suppliers and consumer groups. Third, ‘affirmative social responsibility' initiates dimension broader that organizational stakeholders by arguing that business has obligations to avoid problems by anticipating changes in its environment, blending goals with both stakeholders as well as public and promoting their mutual interests (Papers4you.com, 2006).
To fulfill environmental obligations, social audit is a tool corporate can adopt. Social audit is to identify, measure, evaluate and more importantly report on with continuous monitoring the effects of organization on society and is not manifested through financial statements (Weiss, 1994) . Organizations may carry various affirmative environmental policies to ensure the environmental issues relate dot different areas. For instance in area of accidents, open disclosure of accidents, usage of homogenized standards worldwide can be some options (Papers4you.com, 2006). Pollutions can be reduced by providing incentives internally as well as externally and green teams can also be evolved. Moreover wastes can be minimized through waste disposal services and taking back it from customers. Similarly environmentally safe substitutes can be used in product with minimum and safe packaging (Corbett & Wassenhove, 1993).
Now considering these standards, example of Body Shop can be taken as most suitable case. Body Shop has developed its corporate image as provider of environmentally friendly and natural cosmetics (Slocum, 1995). It was further asserted that company sales and profits were ever rising however the business opposed animal testing, sell most products in reusable bottles with refilling services and always supported recycling process written on their packaging.
So the discussion and example of Body Shop asserts that by fulfilling social responsibility, businesses can win society's heart and remember customers are always associated with society.
