Is it okay to use 60+ spf on a 2 month old baby?

My son is of the same complexion as I am, red hair and fair fair skin. I've brought him in the sun and always keep an eye on which way he's facing so the sun is not on him but I'm very afraid for him to get sunburn so would it be safe to put a little sun block on his hands, arms and ankles? And how should I dress him? It's supposed to be like 85 and up today I don't want to over or under dress him...this is my first child if you couldn't tell. lol.
My baby will be in his stroller and car seat, both of which have the umbrella things attached to them but sometimes a little sun gets on his hands and ankles and that's where my worry was coming from. Thank you everyone for your help though. =]

NO NO NO! You arent suppose to use sunblock on a baby at all!! Not until they are at least 6months of age..
