What self tanners work best?

I am trying to get tanner (I'm tired of being lighter than everyone!) but I know that being out in the sun all day isn't a good idea, and neither is a tanning booth, so I was wondering what works best? Is there a certain lotion, spray (No airbrush kits, I would mess it up miserably), or whatever that makes you look tan without streaks, looking orange, or looking fake? Please.

Also, does anyone knows what Tricho Spa in Ann Arbor uses for their sunless tanning? Just a random side note.
