What are the best tanning techniques and lotion for sensitive skin?

I have a couple weeks vacation coming up in June
I would like to relax and get a tan, but take forever to tan and have sensitive skin and I am pasty white
I just want a light tint/glow to my skin, I don't want to be orange like some people I have seen lately. . .a little too scary for me.
