How do I treat this rug burn?

I recently received a rug burn and have been using first aid ointment skin protectant on the burn. After a few hours a scab formed. It's been about a week since then and the scab has almost completely fallen off. Under the scab, however, my skin is a pinkish color. I was wondering if there are any products that I can use to have the color return to normal. My skin is brown by the way. Would cocoa butter help?
For those of you like the first guy who have perverted minds and think i've been doing nasty things, just don't answer. i was actually playing soccer and scraped my face across the side of a bulletin board, causing the burn to occur. I'm in high school and i'm not someone that chooses to do those types of things, especially being under age. So, TSW (and any others like him) keep your dirty mind and thoughts to yourself. I just would like a simple answer please, not a comment.

Cocoa butter/lotions can't hurt. The color will come back, but most likely will take awhile. I've personally experience the same with my leg and getting road rash from sliding in baseball. After its healed it will turn pink and stays that way for quite awhile, but eventually healed completely back to normal color. Just be patient.

I'm going to be quite blunt here.

Many of my friends have had way too much sun in their lifes and now that that are entering into their late 40s are suffering from sun damaged skin. Their skin are speckled with age spots and some have patches of mottled skin

I can see their frustration in their face when they show me their age spots (liver spots) on their face arms back of legs and back of their hands. The best way to reduce having sun damaged skin is to change you mindset with sun exposure.

• Also wear sun glasses to protect your eyes also the delicate skin surrounding the eyes

• Drink water regulating so that you keep your body and skin hydrated.

Of course if you are worried if some of these age spots are raised or changed in color suddenly you must go to a dermatologist but just for a normal age spots and mottled skin you may be able to lighten them and give your skin a more even look just by using a special ingredient that are in some skin cream.
