Spray tan booth or Tanning bed booth?

Which would you prefer, does spray tan look fake? & are tanning beds really that bad?

Spray tan technology has increased tremendously since it first came out. Very rarely will you see orange color if you spray at a legit tanning salon (as in chain salons, I wouldn't trust a personal business). However, if you spray multiple times in a week, you probably will get an orangeish tint. The salon I worked at had 3 different levels, light, medium, and dark, and with that you could choose tinted or clear. Tinted shows up right away and clear developed over time. If you were to do dark tinted, yeah it's going to look pretty dramatic, so try either medium tinted or dark clear if you have options like those.

Tanning beds are not "safe" but are a controlled environment compared to the sun. At the salon I worked at, we had a bed where the chance of getting burned was only 2%.

And really you should just do what you prefer when it comes to tanning. Tanning in a bed is a slower process just because when you're first starting out you need to start with a lower time and work your way up. Spray tans are good for a "quick fix" if you have an upcoming event, like a wedding, where you want color instantly.
