sun bed vs spray on tan?

I asked a question yesterday about how to look after a spray on tan and was absolutely horrified at the people telling me to lie on a sunbed instead.

As an Australian I am very aware of the importance on skin protection and the risks of melanoma so I find it hard to believe that people would recommend these killers.

In Australia there are restrictions on age and the length of time that may be spent on UV beds. People using tanning beds also have to be warned of the risks of using them. Is this the case where you live???

The chemicals in the spray tan that gets plastered all over your body is probably just as cancer-enhancing as the UV rays! It's scientifically safer though, and I've never heard of anyone dying from a spray tan. Definitely safer - and cheaper )
