Is this a good light bulb for my bearded dragon?

At the moment I just have a basking bulb, and I take the beardie outside for sun light once a day. Is this bulb the real deal and will it replace both the heat lamp and the sunshine? Thanks.

Looks like it as it provides both UVA and UVB, which is what they need to synthesise Vitamin D.

I recommend to install a UVB bulb into his enclosure, however nothing beats natural sunlight - so keep taking him outside to bask anyway regardless if you have one in his enclosure, he will love you for it.

Do I need a UV light for my chameleon?

Hi, I am getting a chameleon in a week or so and I have a screen cage that is pretty big. I have a light for it and I put an incandescent bulb in it for a heat lamp. I am going to put the cage in front of the window because that's the only place I can put it. So I was wondering since he is gonna get sun, if he'll need a uv bulb.

Yes you definitely need to buy a uvb bulb. It has nothing to do with the sun only being there so long though. The reason is that glass and plastic completely filter out all uvb rays so the chameleon wouldn't get any at all. It's necessary to allow them to absorb calcium and vitamin D3.

Also everyday incandescent bulbs won't work for heat lamps. They are designed to give off light, not heat. You need to buy a reptile bulb from a pet store that will give a basking spot light. This will give out proper heat and allow the chameleon to bask properly.
