Does the Islamic Burqa offer sun protection?

I was just wondering if the burqa offers protection from the sun's uva and uvb rays. If so what color should it be, what material should it be made out of for the best sun protection and where can a person buy one???

It offers some, but not much better than any other clothing. The best UV protection is to remain out of the sunshine (indoors, umbrella, etc.) Peace.
