Why do people take new borns to the zoo and alike on 95 degree days/?

I at the zoo with our two year old and i was appauld at the amount of new borns i saw. I mean babies not even a month yet in the hot sun with no covers.
I had my 2 year old in the stroller with the cover most of the time.Had sunblock on her and we stopped in the shade drank water and kept hydrated. Then these parents were pushing these new babies with no sun covers. I understand if you have an older child and you have to take them so you bring the new child. I would go after lunch and stay on the indoor eshibits. But there were new parents with no sign of other kids. I am I over protective because we did not do anything like that till she was a year and could walk and really enjoy those things. Even then i was so consernded about heat stroke and exhuastion.

While I always protected my children from the elements... I always exposed them to the public right from the start. I think that kids who are couped up in a house don't get the chance to build immunity. Then they wind up with allergies and sick. Like my sisters kids. They are allergic to everything... even the grass.

You Can Do Something Positive To Help Your Sun Damaged Skin

Has this ever happened you? A nice pleasant trip to the country or beach was ruined because you got badly sunburned.

Sun damaged skin caused by over exposure to the sun's harmful UV rays usually results in a first-degree burn. The symptoms are normally limited to minor pain, redness and sometimes a white plaque at the site of the burn. This level of burn only affects the top epidermal skin layer.

There are four degrees of burns. Levels two through four are more serious and are usually caused by extreme hot or cold temperatures, boiling water, radiation, chemicals, electricity and friction.

However, severe sun damage may cause a second-degree burn resulting in pain, blistering, epidermal and superficial dermis and possibly even deep reticular dermis layer damage. This level of burn often requires attention and treatment by a medical practitioner.
